3. Click Change Profile.

4. Select the appropriate profile and Click Apply.

5. Enter the appropriate parameters for each profile; descriptions of each profile follow.

6. Click Apply to save the settings.

A list of the ports available on the Digi device server along with a summary of each port's current

configuration is displayed when you select Serial Ports under the Configuration heading.

To Edit the Settings of a Port:

Click on that port's link under the Port heading.

Port Profile

A port profile allows you to easily configure a serial port based on how you will be using that port.

By selecting one of the pre-defined profiles, the configuration options are focused only on the

settings required for that particular profile.

For situations that don't fit into one of the pre-defined port profiles, select the Custom profile

option. All of the port options are available in the custom profile.

The Description specifies an optional character string that can be used to identify the device

connected to the port
